SOCIY: Kansas City Guide
SOCIY is a Drupal product developed by Kansas City, Missouri based developers Code Koalas to serve YMCA franchises. The YMCA hosts a conference every year for franchise owners, and when they came to KC, The Code Koalas wanted a fun way to welcome out-of-towners to Kansas City and give them a local’s guide to all the coolest places. They approached us to design the user experience and interface for their interactive guide.
DELIVERABLES — UX, UI, IA, App Design
Users were able to easily browse through different location types, Food, Drinks, Entertainment etc. and tap for more information.
Subtle animations are used to help orient users as they explore the app.
Since KC is known for it’s BBQ, we wanted to give users an easy and intuitive way to find all the smoked meat they desire with just a simple tap.
When they were finished, users could email their selections to themselves, which allowed SOCIY to capture their information for inbound marketing purposes.
